Demo from NIWeek showing NI's Reconfigurable I/O (RIO) family of products using a Freescale real-time processor, Xilinx FPGA and range of analog and digital I/O all programmed graphically with LabVIEW.

We show LabVIEW and RIO hardware acquiring audio from iTunes, analyzing the frequency spectrum and displaying it on a graphic equalizer on a range of targets so engineers can go from rapid prototyping to low-cost deployment while reusing code.

Preview of NI LabVIEW Embedded Module for ADI Blackfin Processors 3.0, adding ability to create an embedded GUI and extending to Blackfin multicore (ADSP-BF561). LabVIEW gives engineers/scientists a way to design embedded systems easier and faster using graphical system design. Learn more at ni.com/blackfin.

Here's a cool example at NIWeek 2008 showing how NI's RIO hardware for prototyping and deployment is being used at FedEx.

FedEx needed a fire suppression system to protect their pilots, packages and planes. Ventura Aerospace solved the problem by designing and prototyping an intelligent fire monitoring and suppression control system with NI LabVIEW and CompactRIO and deploying to NI Single-Board RIO within a year.

Xilinx shows how LabVIEW can program FPGAs.

Engineers designed serial protocol for Sony Playstation 2 controller using NI PXI R Series reconfigurable I/O hardware with Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGA programmed with graphical NI LabVIEW FPGA. As a result, they were able to iterate on design by prototyping with LabVIEW, high-performance PXI and reconfigurable FPGA. Learn more at ni.com/embedded.
