This is an old example I've had for years- but it is still the most requested program I have. This emulates the Hyperterminal program in Windows- letting you connect to a serial device, adjust the setup parameters, and send/receive messages. This is most useful as a way to troubleshoot your device, and once you have communication working you can use the same parameters to write your own LabVIEW program.
