Create and Bind Shared Variables to I/O Variables Programmatically

This utility has been updated for LabVIEW 2009 and can be found here.

 

This VI discovers all I/O variables being published by the NI Scan Engine at a given IP address and programmatically creates and binds shared variables to each. The shared variables are deployed on a Windows PC you specify.

 

By creating and binding shared variables to I/O variables, you can take advantage of logging and alarming with the LabVIEW DSC Module, buffered communication, communication with OPC clients, etc.
