Sandra Tso - Show Captain
Circuit Design Academic Product Manager
I graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelors Degree of Applied Science, Electrical Engineering (aka BS EE). Here at National Instruments my interest is circuits education and electronic technology, Multisim, Ultiboard and all things related to NI ELVIS. At ASEE, I look forward to reconnecting with educators and partners while I keep the NI Team focused and motivated. When this is all done, I'll be going back to catching up on anime, indulging my new interest in stationary, and looking forward to NI Week 2009! Hope to meet you soon!

Igor Alvarado

Business Development Manager - Academic Research
I'm a Mechanical Engineer (AS/BS from Kansas State University) with more than 15 years of experience in instrumentation, control and automation using PC-based and embedded technologies. As part of my responsibilities as Business Development Manager, I'm looking for the opportunity to get in direct contact with academic researchers (graduate students, postdocs, professors, staff scientists)who conduct experimental work where data acquisition, data analysis and scientific visualization are involved. During ASEE, I would like to discuss potential applications of our Graphical System Design tools in such areas as Nanotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, RF Communications, Controls/Mechatronics/Robotics, Power/Energy, Physics/Astrophysics, and Structural Dynamics/Health Monitoring, among others. I'm specially interested in experimental research applications that could take advantage of research funding from the ARRA  initiative (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) through (or directly available at) NSF, DOE, DOD, NIH, DOT, NIST and other agencies/institutions.
