Learn more about the technologies shown in the NIWeek 2009 Wednesday keynote
See the entries below for more information on demos shown in the NIWeek 2009 Wednesday keynote. These products and technologies include:
Web LabVIEW UI Builder
LabVIEW System Designer
NI Real-Time Hypervisor
LabVIEW Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) Module
Industry's Fastest PXI-Based Digitizer
LabVIEW FPGA IP Integration Node
Web LabVIEW UI Builder
Web LabVEW UI Builder is a hosted, browser-based LabVIEW editor designed for developing thin client applications comparable to those created with Adobe Flash or JavaScript. With Web LabVIEW UI Builder, users can employ graphical programming to quickly design dynamic browser-based applications that require zero install on the client machine. Communication to other applications is available through web services created with LabVIEW 2009.
Today NI customers are working with complex systems with sophisticated software logic, multiple processing targets like real-time operating systems and FPGAs, and a vast collection of I/O. With LabVIEW System Designer, NI is working on improving LabVIEW's capability for designing and deploying these systems. Initially we are focusing on facilitating the design and development of streaming multirate digital signal processing applications using FPGA-based hardware.
The NI Real-Time Hypervisor is a software package that uses virtualization technology to run LabVIEW Real-Time and Windows XP simultaneously on a single controller. With the Real-Time Hypervisor, you can reduce the hardware cost and physical footprint of your real-time systems while taking full advantage of the parallel processing capabilities of just one multicore controller.
The NI LabVIEW Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) Module Pioneer extends the LabVIEW development environment so you can create and deploy embedded intelligence to NI WSN measurement nodes. Develop with graphical programming and download applications wirelessly to run embedded on the node to perform custom analysis, embed decision making, and extend battery life by optimizing node behavior.
Industry's Fastest PXI-Based Digitizer, Co-Developed by NI and Tektronix
NI and Tektronix have collaborated to deliver the industry's fastest PXI-based digitizer, with over 3 GHz bandwidth, over 10 GS/s sample rate, and data throughput rates of over 600 MB/s.
The LabVIEW FPGA IP Integration Node provides cycle accurate simulation within the LabVIEW execution environment for third party IP. In addition, the node provides a wizard interface that simply requires selecting VHDL files or a Xilinx Coregen® *.xco file. An experimental version is available on NI Labs.
