Problem Installing "IconEditor_821_V2.1"

Can anyone help me on this?

Problem::(

When trying to "install" IconEditor 821 I recieve the following error:

" Error 1502 occured at Invoke Node in Instalation_lv_icon.vi "

" Possible Reason(s): "

" LabVIEW: Cannot Save a Bad VI without its block diagram "

" Method Name: Save:Instrument "

Operating System /LabView Version:

Windows XP

LabView 8.20

Question:

Do I need LabVIEW 8.21 to run this??:|

---It does not seem like I need to because LabVIEW will open the VI's with no complaint about the VI being a wrong version.....

The support for the customized version starts at LabVIEW 8.2.1

Re: Problem Installing "IconEditor_821_V2.1"

It's not compulsary to update to 8.2.1 to use the customized icon editor.

Did you try to open the lv_icon from the zip file? If yes, run additionally a masscompile on the top-level folder.

Afterwards open the "HTML Report.vi" in the SubVIs folder and delete the CLFN (call library function node) if this VI is not runnable.

Furthermore, there are other problems in 8.2.0 with the timed loop which the icon editor is using for the running ants.

A solution for this can be found here:

If the workaround is to difficult to implement, an overall workaround would be to disable the VI "Stop Timed Structuve.vi" located in "SelectionCheat_UpdatePositionRestartTL.vi"
