Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers developing diagnostic and calibration software for complex semiconductor equipment
• Interaction with hardware and systems engineering to establish detail requirements and drive the team for execution
• Apply engineering rigor through the course of development to ensure KLA standards are met
• Drive and contribute to feature development (hands on) from requirements to delivery
• Lead efforts in integration and failure mode analysis to drive the solution
• Occasional global travel (<10%) to customer sites to help diagnose complex problems
• Be comfortable spending time in clean-room environment during integration phase   

Qualifications/Required skills

• 3+ years in leading software development efforts in semiconductor, medical or related industry using LabVIEW
• 5+ years in architecting and developing software
• Excellent design, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of and laboratory exposure to electrical, mechanical and optical measurement instruments
• Excellent communication skills

Highly desirable skills

• Experience/knowledge of LabVIEW
• LabVIEW Certification (CLD, CLA)
• Python or other scripting language
• Project management experience

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) with minimum 5 years of work experience.
OR
Master's Level Degree with minimum 6 years of work experience.
OR
Bachelor's Level Degree with minimum 7 years of work experience.
