We are having the same issue.  Many uninstall/reinstalls.  We have had a couple of instances where DAQ Express successfully launched, but then crashed after we added drivers for USB-6212 DAQ hardware.

Issue we have we are still trying to identify.   It may be due to the latest Sophos Endpoint Agent and disk encryption.   Do you utilize Sophose?

Same problem here! We are using Sophos, too. But deactivating it doesn't help.

We tried Win 11 and Win 10 Systems, multiple reinstalls.

We would be so happy about a fast fix!

We tried everything and had to remove the new Sophos agent for the time being and utilize another antivirus.  Uninstalling the agent in a test environment will show you immediately it's the agent being installed.   It was odd because there were zero detections being picked up by sophos.

We are also encountering the same issue with one of our customers: put the process and folder in the exclusion list, deactivated Sophos and the issue still persists.

Going to open a ticket with Sophos, let's hope they can share some insights.

I got in touch with Sophos Support: by turning of tamper protection and modifying C:\Windows\System32\drivers\hmpalert.sys in .old and restarting, the program worked again.

Waiting for the final solution, because I am not confident to modify that file in every workstations that needs DAQEXPRESS.

To make it work again, you have to add an "exploit mitigation exclusions" at global level, or custom policy

make the exclusion with "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\DAQExpress\DAQExpress.exe" and it should work again.

Hello all,

It seems Sophos last update flagged multiple NI products, not just DAQExpress. This has been reported to NI but there isn't much can be done from that end, the recommendation is to contact Sophos support to get assistance and put the failing products, .exes, etc under the whitelist.
