Installing NI-VISA 4.5.0 in OpenSUSE 11.2 fails

I am trying to use a NI USB 6009 so I am installing NI-VISA 4.5.0 as a prerequisite to DAQmx Base. I get the following error:

And farther down:

Sorry, this is a known problem. Sadly NI-KAL doesn't work yet on kernel 2.6.31 that comes with OpenSUSE 11.2. You might search for "SUSE 11.2" or "2.6.31" around the forum to see the other threads.

The good news is that we have just gotten it working a couple of weeks ago in our development, so the next release of NI-KAL should install correctly on this distribution.

The bad news is that we're not done yet, so you'll need to wait a bit more for our next release.

I apologize that it is taking so darn long to fix this problem.
