Hello,
I am reading the datasheet of the Ni-9208. I can find the text:
Vsup pins
Current 2 A maximum
Voltage 30 V maximum
For the V-sup pins it is clear you need to protect the pins for currents higher than 2A. I also read:
For the input pins:
Input range
Minimum ±21.5 mA
Typical ±22 mA
Here I am missing the current where the electronics behind the input pins can get damaged. A lot of industrial senors translate an environmental variable e.g. temperature, pressure, to 4-20 mA. A current between 20 and 24-mA or below 4mA states a error. The 21.5 mA in the datasheet is not clearly linked to accuracy or maximum allowed current. It would be helpful if Ni clarifies this text.
