Fellow wireworkers,

12:15 - Object-Oriented Messaging, Command Pattern, and State Pattern in LabVIEW - Paul Lotz, Lowell Observatory, http://www.linkedin.com/pub/paul-lotz/2/931/678
We will present the LabVIEW examples that demonstrate messaging using objects in a component-based system, implementing the Command Pattern, including an example of an XML configuration file handler, and implementing the State Pattern, featuring an example deployed on a real-time target, and the principles of these. 1:25 - Part II: "Look Mom, 'No Wires': A Wireless UI Control Framework in LabVIEW - Michael Ashe, Imaginatics, http://www.linkedin.com/pub/michael-ashe/9/25b/7b7
Mike will present a LabVIEW framework/technique, using Reference Based Registration of all or a subset of Controls-Indicators on a front panel, Dynamic User Events, Daemon Monitor-Controller, and Plug-in API (either traditional or object based) that demonstrates a reusable technique to quickly automate UIs with a large number of controls and indicators, without the tediousness of hand creation of Event case frames or wiring the front panel objects. In addition we will discuss configuration based extensions to the framework.
