Imagine going back in time to Italy in the 14th century. As the country recovered from the plague, Italians began cultivating the beginnings of the Renaissance. You would witness the rise of art, science, and, in 1386, the Duomo di Milano. This cathedral in Milan took five centuries to build, and the main spire wasn’t completed until 1762. The Duomo remains one of the largest Gothic structures in the world.After 250 years of weathering and pollution, the spire needed a facelift, and LabVIEW and an NI hardware system turned out to be the right tools to get the job done.
