In our project we measure temperature,torque,revolution and emissions of an internal combustion engine.I want to save measured values to an excel file for a specific time period without stopping screen values while seeing the new measured valus on screen.
I mean the values are running on screen in indicator box etc. and I push save button and the values are going to be saved to an excel file for 10 seconds for example.How can I do this?I am new to this job and Labview.I tried it many times but I have come up empty handed.Could you please send me an example vi for this job?

actully i am also working on similar task like i read some real time data into serial port and then i have to write that files into excel sheet..i really have no idea to develop in Labview ...did you developed the VI file for writing the data into excel sheet ? if so can you attach that fileor send me janybasha22@gmail.com
