What challenge/problem are you trying to solve through your application:
Transporting perishable equipment such as Vegetables and fruits is a tricky business. Considerations:
•Can’t simply fill the truck without partitions as the ones at the bottom will get squished.
•Introducing partitions causes huge increase in loading/unloading time of the vegetables.
Hence, the problem definition would be to design a system for loading/unloading without decreasing the quantity of fruits and vegetables in the truck and ensuring that the loss due to squishing is reduced
How does your application solves the above mentioned challenge/problem:
•Weight and quality based classification
•Reduction in usage of Manpower
•Faster loading and Unloading
•Avoiding baskets/ boxes
•Enhanced Cleaning
The approach is building the end to end requisites for damage free transportation of fruits and vegetables. For specificity we have taken up tomatoes for now
Description of Project:
The project is comprised of four modules as follows:
1.Weight/ Size Based Classification
2.Quality Based Classification
3.Loading Mechanism
4.Carrier Arrangement
The impact of the proposed idea is that the cost of fruits and vegetables will decrease. This is because if the losses are decreased, automatically the landing cost will decrease. With inflation hitting our country, it is essential that we maintain the cost of fruits and vegetables as it will affect people with low income levels.
The direct measurement of success rate will be determined by the number of storages willing to implement the proposed innovation. The improvisation of the process can be carried out by checking the real time data.
Change is essence of sustenance. Continuous change and improvisation will ensure sustenance. Reaching out is very important. Once, it is successful at one storage, we must keep expanding to more.
