Overview

This VI demonstrates how to remove an image's background and keep the remainder of the image along with its original colors.

Description

Often times, it is necessary to remove the background of an image and focus on particular objects of interest. This can be done with a color threshold, but the result is an 8-bit image with no color. This example does the same thing, but preserves the original color of the object(s) of interest. This is done by performing a color threshold, casting the resulting image to 32-bit, and then multiplying it with the original image. This extracts the desired information from the original image.
