Topic 2: DQMH - Decissions Behind the Design

  • Duration: 45 minutes
  • Description: The Delacor Queued Message Handler (free via the LabVIEW Tools Network) was launched during NI Week 2015 and it won a LabVIEW Tools Newtork Product of the year award during NI Week 2016. Last year, several LabVIEW teams adopted it as their springboard for applications involving multiple modules running in parallel while communicating with each other. Based on the NI Queued Message Handler project template, the DQMH provides safe, event-based message handling and scripting tools to make development easy, encourage the same style between different developers on the same project, and improve efficiency. Learn about the decisions behind the design and best practices to take advantage of this project template.

Extremely sorry for the people connecting remotely that we had technical difficulties. The presentation yesterday included a new video that I had done just for this group and was different than the presentation I gave at NI week. Here are both the videos from the presentation I gave at NI week and the video I prepared for this group. The second video has no audio and the sections that go extremely fast (and are surrounded by a thought bubble) are just taken from the intro given at the NI Week presentation.

Demo prepared just for this meeting:

All videos used in the presentation can be found here: bit.ly/fabNIWeek2016_2

I just realized that the link was already there on the overview page for this group. Totally forgot about that!

Next time I will remember to check there first.

My apologies to Carly.

Fab

This is correct, Jass just updated the videos from the meeting that took place back in August 30, 2016. We had attached the material and I had attached the video from my presentation at NI week.

We do this for all the meetings, we update the invitation with the material for the meeting after the meeting took place.

Regards,

Fab
