Thank you, Certified LabVIEW Architects

I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who attended this year’s Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) Summit at NI.  Once again, I was really impressed by the caliber of the presentations and the level of discussion among all of the attendees.  We had a record number of attendees at this year’s summit (almost 100 people from all over the world), and it was impressive to see so many people stay for a third day to dive deep into some of the topics that came out of the first two.

img_3065.jpgThe CLA Summit is a unique opportunity for me, as I get to participate as both a user and as a product manager. It’s great to be able to talk to so many other passionate and knowledgeable LabVIEW users, and as always, to hear your feedback and opinions regarding LabVIEW and the latest advanced concepts.

img_3068.jpgFor those of you who weren’t able to attend, the topic this year was ‘separating user interfaces from application logic,’ which prompted a lot of passionate discussion (and healthy debate) regarding various approaches, such as model-view-controller and various frameworks for implementation. Presentations and demos from the summit are going to be posted to the community group, here: Certified LabVIEW Architect Community Group.  You can also try to make the upcoming European CLA Summit, on March 28th and 29th, though I hear that registration is almost full.

Finally, many thanks to the organizers of the event, Fabiola, Mallori, Rob, and Nancy.  Well done!
