Over the next two months, we'll feature NIWeek highlights to get you excited about what NIWeek 2011 has to offer.

The Future of System Design Symposium is a new one-day event at NIWeek that brings together researchers, engineers, system designers and technologists who want to learn about the latest research in system design. Scheduled for Tuesday, August 2, the symposium will highlight the future of system design including processor and FPGA convergence, high-level synthesis tools and flows for taking advantage of larger and more complex FPGAs and increasing design productivity.

Highlights from The Future of System Design Symposium include:

  • Keynote: The Future of Systems Design - Ivo Bolsens, CTO and senior vice president at Xilinx, will discuss some of the critical hardware innovations transforming the landscape of system design and how processor and FPGA are converging to provide new functionality
  • The Future of System Design with LabVIEW – Learn about the vision, ideas, and research that are transforming this engineering tool into a world-class system design solution
  • Experts Panel: The Future of System Design - Participate in an interactive discussion with Ivo Bolsens, CTO at Xilinx ;Dr. James Truchard, CEO at National Instruments; Brent Nelson, codirector of CHREC; and Jan Rabaey, codirector of Berkeley Wireless Research Center
