LV with Arduino Nano 3.0 - ATMEGA328

When you load LIFA to the Nano, did you select Arduino Nano with AT328 from the Tools pull down menu in the Arduino IDE window?  Although LIFA sees the Nano as the same as an UNO, there are some small diferences that the IDE will take of for you.

In your VI, did you add the subVI,  Set Digital Pin Mode.vi , as suggested bymknix  to set the pin direction before trying to read the pin?

LINX is used nowadays to communicate the Arduino with Lab-View. Although, this question is very old.
