My RCF menu on right click is not working. The selected objects are highlighted and the cursor changes to RCF cursor. However, on right mouse click, the menu does not show up and I see a flicker in place of the RCF menu.
Do I have to modify some options in LabVIEW to get it working?
FYI, I am using RCF v1.0.2 in LabVIEW 8.2.
What is your Menu Activation Keys? It is default LCONTROL + 1?
If you have a default Menu Activation Key setting, try pressing 1 then left Control key.
I am not sure why, but on my IBM/ Windows XP(SP3) machine that worked.
I don’t have any problem on Vista (SP2).
I had same problem with RCF v1.0.2 in LabVIEW 8.2. I then reverted back to RCFv 220.127.116.11 and all plugins started working.
It seems to be some problem in the newer version of RCF for LV 8.2
While we are testing a fix for this issue, you can use the following workaround.
Make sure that the activation key that you are using is not already reserved by LabVIEW or the OS.
For instance the "Alt" key is used to activate the application main menu bar and more specificaly, ALT+underlined letter in menu will opens the specific menu.
So in this situation the alt key is not a key that you can use in the RCF.
I hope this make sens.
Unfortunately, the proposed fixed did not resolved the issue.
This bug is very tricky to fix, because it is almost impossible to reproduce consistently, but we are still working on it.
Meanwhile, you should be able to use the workaround described in the post below (works for me).
Maybe I am missing something...
I do see the halo and can click on it, but menu come up empty. It did work for the first time, i.e. 2-3 times I was able to see sub menus but then it stopped working. Starting and stopping JKI framework didn't help as well as LabVIEW restart.
Thank you for your time,
Sorry, I missunderstood your issue.
What is your activation key(s)?
Also, make sure that these key(s) are not reserved anywhere by LabVIEW or the OS.
LCONTROL+1 default keys.
I haven't assigned these keys for anything in LabVIEW, not sure about OS.
I think LCONTROL +# toggles between IE8 tabs, can that be a problem?
Can you try another key (so we can rule this combination out on your machine)?
For instance, just try the "caps lock" [CAPITAL] and see what happen.
