Hello Local LabVIEW Lovelies

We're on for the 23rd Sept, same deal as normal.

I think we had some offers to talk (will confirm in the coming days)

If anyone is interested I'll do a bit on Linux, PuTTY, Subversion, MySQL and other gubbins.

Mike Bailey is going to do a Context based UI code (https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-38428 )

James Mac is going to do some TDMS stuff

What's new in 2014

James Powell is going show his nice looking app.

If there are any suggestions or anyone has something to get off their chest in the comments is the place.

I'll be there from 11:30

Love Steve

PS: NI Email will be sent out on 4th or thereabouts, please register as per their instructions

PPS:If you are new to the group why not put a brief biog in the Introduce Yourselves featured discussion

Hi Steve,

I'd be keen to hear about Linux, PuTTY, Subversion etc.

Looking forward to catching up in a few weeks.

Hi Greg,

I think it has value, especially as cRIO is now based on Linux.

I suspect it's a useful thing to get up to speed with.

See you in a few weeks

S

I think Linux as a system is good to know, even just some of the basics.

If anyone is interested, edX are currently running an intorductory course to Linux with the Linux Foundation. https://www.edx.org/course/linuxfoundationx/linuxfoundationx-lfs101x-introduction-1621#.VAWmMvldX1g

I have an application that I’m working on that I’d like to show if there’s time.  It’s an "actor"-style (though NOT Actor Framework) architecture with a dynamically reconfigurable chain of data analysis modules.  Uses subpanels and icons in a 2D picture control for the UI.

Thanks to all who presented. All very useful presentations -

I'm going to review my TDMS logging, look at my messaging framework, and review my splitter bars.

But perhaps  still going to wait a bit before switching to 2014....
