I've installed the DAQmx Base for Red Hat (32-bit) and I also managed to install them (with some tricks listed elsewhere in this forum) for a Ubuntu system.
I have the NI-6211 USB device and running the acquireNScans works good on both platforms, but on the Ubuntu platform one of of about 5 runs, the programs hangs on the first DAQmxBaseCreateTask call. After killing the program, I can run it again and sometimes it runs good again and sometimes it hangs again.
I know Ubuntu is not officially supported, but because it almost works, I wonder if there is something specific I must think about? Do the kernel require specific configuration options to make the device driver more stable?

Hello Roalt,
We recently saw this issue (or a similar one) on two of the officially supported distributions and listed the issue in the Readme of DAQmx Base 3.5. Currently the recommendation is to not use the C API on Red Hat 6 and Scientific Linux 6. We hope to fix the problem in a future release.
Thanks,
Steven T.
