Control a dynamixel AX-series servo-motor using sbRIO?

Hi!

We just got a an sbRIO evaluation kit.  And we're wondering how we can use it to control a dynamixel AX-series servomotor. 

If it were a PC, I'd using the USB2Dynamixel and SDK to control it.  But I don't think that'll work for an sbRIO.

Any tips on how to do this?  Pre-existing code I can use?

Hi josborne,

Have you checked out the LabVIEW Robotics Module? The LabVIEW Robotics module includes drivers and examples to work with dynamixel motors, see number 7 in the module overview. You can access an evaluation of the module here. In general, a lot of code that can run on LabVIEW for the desktop can also be deployed to run on a real-time system, you just have to be aware of constrained resources.
