Will Denman has scheduled the Shared Variables follow-up session to be on May 7th from 5:00 to 6:30 Mountain time.  This will be a web-based meeting, so you can join us from anywhere.  Send an e-mail to Will at  "will.denman at ni dot com" so that he can send you an electronic invitation.  The basic agenda is that NI has been reviewing our Shared Variable Issues document (on this website under Documents) and will have answers/comments/suggestions for as many points on that document as possible.  Additional questions will only be taken at the end of the meeting at NI's discretion, time permitting.  Hence, if you have Shared Variable questions, get them on the document SOON!  Thanks to Arun, Will, and NI for their time on this.

Also upcoming is the May 21 ALARM meeting, scheduled for 6:30PM at CU.  We are still looking for presentations, so please let us know if you have a topic you would like to present.

We had an interesting teleconference with NI developers on the Shared Variables.  Thanks to Will for setting that up and to several from NI for staying late to talk to us!

Our next meeting is May 21 at CU.  Laurel Watts will be presenting a non-ini-file configuration method, for contrast with the ideas presented last time.  Bill Brown will make a presentation on automated testing without Teststand.  David Thomson will be demo-ing a configuration-based tool for acquiring streaming (serial) data.

Don't forget to register ahead of time so that NI can get a count for pizza!

    Hope to see you then.

The next ALARM meeting is at Colorado School of Mines on Thursday, Sept 17, at 6:30 PM.  The location is the CTLM Building Computer Lab - Room 123, (not 104).  Please make sure to signup at the registration link for the upcoming ALARM UGM (
http://sine.ni.com/nievents/app/overview/p/eventId/32558/site/nic/country/us/lan g/en/scope/state/lo... )

so that NI can provide the appropriate amount of food and beverages.  Nancy Hollenback,  will talk about some "really cool stuff" with LabVIEW.  Joe Des Rosier will be giving a talk on building LabVIEW programs using voice commands into your computer mic!  It should make for a most interesting evening.  I look forward to seeing everyone for the usual pizza and exchange of ideas.

(This was already posted as an Announcement, but that mechanism doesn't send out e-mail reminders to people.  So I'm reposting here with the hope that people will get a reminder.)

Is it really room CTLM-104?  It's normally in CTLM-123.

A bit of warning here too.  The CTLM building had a power failure this last weekend.  Today the overhead projectors in rooms 123 and 125 were not working.  So far maintainence has not given an estimate of the fixing time.  (Maybe they just have to push a hidden switch.  Maybe something else???)

I'll let you know if things are back to normal next week.  If not we may all need to gather around one screen.
