REMINDER: San Diego User Group Meeting THIS Wednesday, September 17th

Just a reminder since our last announcement was a couple weeks ago.

San Diego user group meetings are back, and we'd love to see you there.

Wednesday, 09/17/2014 | 06:00pm-08:00pm

Ansir Innovation Center

4685 Convoy St. #210

San Diego, CA 92111

We'll be providing pizza and beer, you'll help provide the LabVIEW discussion!

If you can't make it in-person, we're going to try to try to broadcast the meeting live over Google Hangout. The link will go live at 6pm on Wednesday.

https://plus.google.com/events/ckt7o8j0eimdbgg0lqtnqlh0if8

Please park on the street. Engineer Road should have parking available.

Presentations

We'll be hosting two 30-minute presentations, followed by open-ended discussion of different problems we're facing.

“Base 64 Optimization Techniques,” presented by Ivan Gagne (CLD). Explaining base 64 and demoing a few optimization techniques for For Loops, string manipulation, etc.

“Class-Based Implementation of a DAQ API,” presented by Tom Fantasia (CLA). A breakdown of the challenges in implementing an in-house interface, and how a class-based architecture was used to overhaul a previously task-oriented solution.

Finding the Design Center

The Design Center is right next to Pangea Bakery. You can see their logo on the second floor of the building in Street View. You'll want to enter through the green door on the side. The door opens directly to a set of stairs; follow them up to the second floor. You've arrived!

You can clearly see the door in Google street view.

I copied the image below; it's harder to see in the reduced image, but the door is open and a person is standing next to it, just past the Tea Garden storefront:

Again, please park in the street. We're recommending Engineer Road, but there should be other parking available nearby.

Hope to see you all there!

I'll bring the beer.  I asked one of my guys to send out an email to San Diego labVIEW users informing them of the event.  Did anyone get an email for it?

I haven't gotten anything, Song. Is it supposed to go to any users signed up for this group?

It's probably some rule that keeps our system from spamming you

Alright, seems we'll be having pizzas and beers!  (I think considerably better than the old bread sticks that used to be served at the old venue)

Best Regards,
