Job Description: | Reason for the opening: With the new products getting ready for launch and also with their continued growth this position is a new need. Their current test engineers are getting overwhelmed.
Daily Duties: 1. Electrical test for the products and improve the throughputs 2. RF based testing and blue tooth testing. 3. Working on detectors and sensors. 4. Working with labview and programming in c++ creating automated test scripts.
Nice to haves: 1. HALT/HASS 2. Reliability 3. Consumer Electronics 4. Medical Device (one of their products is a class 2)
Travel: Up to 25% travel to china. During launch times the may be expected to be out there for 2-3 weeks. (test team is out there for the next 2 weeks) |
Work Environment: | Type of people: Very strong communication. This person will be interacting with multiple cross functional teams from firmware/hardware to the contract manufactures.
Group culture: Fitbit currently has 3 other test engineers. They also have a reliability engineer who we placed (Jesse Douglas)

Qualifications: | Education: BS EE/CS, but equivilent work experience is acceptable |
Performance Expectations: | Test the JD: Would take someone with 5+ years experience but is ideally seeking someone who can come in and manage the team. This has tremendous growth opportunity.
Performance Measurements: Ability to provide test optimization and high volume. Go through thousands of product.
Best vs. Avg: Strong LabView experience, Testing Methodology, broad experience with testing including mechanical reliability.
1st Day: Strat developing test protocols, testing on RF and bluetooth technology.
