Unusual Red "x" markers on palette

This morning I noticed in my AF palette several of these little red "x" markers on the VI icons....not sure what these mean?

Not sure.  They aren't AF-related.  Do the corresponding VIs still exist on disk?

Yes they still show to be there.

Not a bug. These are private or protected VIs that woudl be broken if dropped in yoru current VI scope. Switch focus to a VI that is a member of an Actor class and those Xs should vanish.

This should be (IMHO) a well known feature of the palettes by now, but we ship so few APIs that are OO-based and intended for user extension, so I'm not surprised you haven't seen that before.

Thanks for the explanation AQ. I did a little test and indeed if I open that palette from a non Actor scoped VI the little x's showed up.

Neat, never realized that....
