Changing the sbRIO to boot from SD card would require changing how the device boots, as well as requiring changing around how installation occurs. As such, this is not something that NI supports or has even tested. What is your desired end-result? Why do you need to use an SD card?

Changing the bootloader on the NI targets can cause permanent, irreversible damage if done incorrectly. As such, this is not something that NI supports or documents. I still do not have a clear picture as to why you need this functionality...

I mean,I don't use to NI hardware. Our own development use zynq7020 hardware. But I want to use NI  linux-rt system with our own hardware development.Whether can do this?   Ni software and hardware is  binding or not ,or encryption?

I think you're asking whether or not you can use NI Linux RT with your own hardware. If this is not a correct interpretation of what you are asking, let me know.

If that is the question being asked, the answer is that we don't currently have a well-defined policy in-place for supporting or enabling using our software on other, non-NI hardware. What are your interests in using NI Linux RT? Is it simply to use things like LabVIEW RT and/or LabVIEW FPGA? In any case, I would recommend talking with your local NI field sales engineer to get a better idea of what is available.

In that case, use some professional linux embedded development toolkit, like ptxdist.

NI linux-rt is just a plain common embedded Linux system, with some extra kernel

patches. Most of them are already included in the mainline, others are just for NI hardware. If you also need some RT features (like ipipe) that aren't in mainline yet, use tglx'es rt-kernel tree.

Of couse, running the LV-generated vodoo might be an entirely different topic.

(never tested that, as I don't have any use for LV).
