SP7 - Runtime licence activation

how does the runtime licence work? How can I activate it? A customer of mine said he has realized the executable for his application but no code is required on target machine. Thank you

Hey everyone,

the runtime licensing scheme is honor-based. Since any additional activation methodology would have introduced more complexity and could have compromised flexibility of SP7 (for instance, using RIO targets), no actual activation is required for the runtime installations. However, to fulfill the licensing requirements, each deployed target needs to have an valid runtime-license key.

Sorry, the fact that this is not mentioned in the documentation was an oversight we willl fix in an upcoming release.

To remove any doubts we extended the quick reference guide with the chapter "Difference between developer and runtime license" as well with the chapter "Activate SP7".
