NIWeek Kernel and Kernel Module Building session

Have you already been modifying the kernel or wanting to jump into writing drivers, like this post, cRIO-9037 and how to write drivers for NI Linux Real-Time? At NIWeek this August we are looking to hold a custom ~2 hour session outside of the NIWeek session schedule to address these topics.

This advanced talk will cover details for building kernel modules as well as a new kernel for NI Linux Real-Time targets. Topics include when and why you would need to do this, detailing some of the fundamentals of kernels and kernel modules, and some of the tools for testing your new kernel.

If you plan to attend NIWeek and are interested in this session, please RSVP here, and we'll be sending out more detailed invitations as August draws nearer. Optionally, please add detail on how you are currently modifying the kernel or why you're interested in doing this in the future.

Event Information: Tuesday 8/2, 1-3pm, Room 9A Austin Convention Center

RSVP here

If you can't make it to NIWeek this year, the output of this session should be a recording and/or documentation that we will post on this community to assist users in this area moving forward.

Thanks, we look forward to seeing you in August!
