FTC Labview website for NI (Archived)

Update: This discussion applies to Issues from the 2010 FTC season and is no longer relevant for current FTC competition software.

Where do you find the National Instruments\LabVIEW
2009\Targets\NI\NXT\NXTToolkit\ website that has the sample vi's on it?

I'm confused by your question.  Have you already installed LabVIEW Education Edition 2009 or the FTC toolkit?

The NI Training material is here:  http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-7152

My company also has comprehensive FTC training materials here:  http://ftcmastery.com/

I have installed LAbview 2009. Not sure about the toolkit. The problem is,

I'm reading the Getting Started document,

http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-7204, and there are frequent

references to sample vi's which can be found by navigating to the "National

Instruments\LabVIEW2009\Targets\NI\NXT\NXTToolkit"

oh, i see why you might be confused. This directory is probably easy to

find if I've installed the FTC toolkit. How do I do that?

You should install LabVIEW Education Edition 2009 using the media that ships with the FTC kit.  Please let us know if you have not done that.  There is also instructions for where to download and install the FTC toolkit on the packaging for this media.  Basically it will send you to this download page

Also, the examples for FTC do not exist in the "National Instruments\LabVIEW2009\Targets\NI\NXT\NXTToolkit" location.  Instead they will be found at "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2009\examples\FTC Toolkit" after you install the FTC Toolkit.

I hope this helps.  Let us know if you have more questions.
