I am trying to configure my Ubuntu 10.10 (64bit) system to work with PyVISA and NIVISA.

My requiremet is to talk with instruments using python scripts via GPIB.

Can anyone let me know how to configure my system.

Currenlty I am using Engthought python distribusion (64bit).

I am also very interested in this. All the older posts are complex, unclear, and hard to follow.
