Meeting Description

"Lessons Learned From My First cRIO/EtherCAT Project"

Presenter:  Aaron Gelfand

Est. Duration: 40 minutes

Description:

After just about completing my first cRIO project, here are the lessons I learned as I dealt with driver issues; architectures, use of reference designs to try and speed code development, use of alternate targets for early code development, possible LabVIEW FPGA bugs, and having to hunt through portions of the LabVIEW project in order to change system states and deploy FPGA code. We will go over what I did wrong in early testing that allowed performance issues to remain undetected until late in the project where they required massive re-writes at the eleventh hour.

"Panel Discussion on the Recent CLA Summits"

Panel: Jack Dunaway, Allen C. Smith, Stephen Mercer and FabiolaDelaCueva

Est. Duration: 45 minutes

Description:

In this discussion, participants in the recent American and European CLA Summits will discuss their experiences.  They will share insights into what they learned at the summits and how they plan to use that knowledge at home.  The discussion will be a panel format with audience participation.
