labview/ myrio

I am new to labview and the myrio in general, and thus I just have a general question.

When using labview I save vi's on my desktop that run through my myrio, to come back to at a later date.   After a day or two I return to the program and hit run it doesn't recognize the myrio intially, why is this?

Can you explain what you mean by 'it doesn't recognize the myrio intially'.

Is your myRIO connected via USB?

Do you disconnecte and reconnect it during these two days or is it always connected?

Does your computer reboot, sleep or hibernate during this time?
