It’s time once again for another Bay Area LabVIEW User Group Meeting. Make plans to join developers from around Northern California and your host Erik Johnson for a night of LabVIEW learning, linking up, and laughing.

We look forward to seeing you Tuesday, May 25th, 2010!
Location:
The Lookout
605 Macara
Sunnyvale, CA 94085

Time:
5:45 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Agenda:
5:45 p.m. - Networking & Free Food

6:00 p.m. - Introduction

6:05 p.m. - User Solution: Controlling Magnetic Stimulators with LabView and an NI Touch Panel Controller

John Sadler, VP of R&D, NeoStim
Neostim uses LabView and the National Instruments TPC series of touch panel controllers to deliver a simple way for clinicians to control our system of four coordinated magnetic stimulators. These devices deliver powerful pulsed magnetic fields and are under investigation to treat a variety of conditions. LabView and the TPC allowed us to go from storyboards to a working application in less than a month.

6:30 p.m. - Topic: LabVIEW Code Reuse 101
Erik Johnson, National Instruments
Learn about methodologies and tools to implement code reuse techniques with LabVIEW, presented by experts from NI and the community. Review use cases on internal code reuse libraries and add-on development for creating a product based on LabVIEW. Example demos include how to build a reusable library from your existing VIs and have them show up in your palettes.

7:20 p.m. - Networking and Discussion Break

7:35 p.m. - LabVIEW Feedback Forum
Bring your LabVIEW feedback, likes, dislikes, feature requests, and favorite development tips to share with the rest of the local community. In direct response to a request from the most recent user group, we’re trailing a forum to encourage user discussion and feedback.

7:50 p.m. - Thinking in G
Jim Kring, Certified LabVIEW Architect, JKI
LabVIEW for Everyone co-author Jim Kring provides a glimpse into one of the world’s best LabVIEW programming minds as he discusses timely LabVIEW related topics.
