I was recently surprised with the Covid-19 pandemic to hear from people (even on TV) things that make me believe that they do not understand the notion of "exponential progression". A "wait and see" approach cannot work with exponential progression: things are perfectly fine and suddenly things are really bad.
So I have created a video (shown below) that explains exponential progression and that compares with actual Covid-19 data over about 1 month. I also created a VI that illustrates exponential progression through algae growth in a pond. The code is attached here in LabVIEW 2016 version.
