1) On my FP I have a strict typedef control.
2) On my BD I make a VI Server Reference to the strict type def control.
3) I have an event structure that has an event when the strict typedef has a value change.

When I compare the 'value' of wire from #2 with wire from #4 they are not the same. They used to be in 2010 and 2009.
Either CtlRef when used with a value porperty node will update the FP control. So internally they are the same. But the reference values are not.
This only happens with typedef and strict typedef controls, not 'plain' controls.
To someone from NI: Is this a feature or a bug?
This needs to be moved to forums.ni.com if you want any AEs to ever see it. Posting a dev community document isn't going to get many eyeballs, and it isn't generally monitored by tech support staff.
