Hmm... Good point. I tried using the Get / Set API in LV2016 to change the build spec version for a project saved in LV2012 and it upgraded that project file to 2016. Definitely not what I wanted. I don't have 2012 installed on my computer, but I'd be curious if you could just save the API for previous versions and use them in 2012/3/4, etc. It would be nice to use the same implementation for all versions. Have you tried that?

No I haven't but it wouldn't surprise me if the API was only added in the new version of App Builder. Something to try I guess.
