Diagram tool

Is there a tool that anyone recommends for creating a diagram/planning out DQMH modules and events? I started a basic flowchart in Visio but it's getting messy quickly. I want to map out modules and the events that I plan to create.

Does anyone have an example diagram they could share?

Maybe you'll find some inspiration in this blog post that Fab wrote in support of her NIWeek 2018 presentation:

https://delacor.com/tips-and-tricks-for-a-successful-dqmh-based-project/

It talks - amongst other things - about modeling the modules.

This tool works pretty well for certain things - I think Fab mentions it in her presentation

As an alternative to Visio you might check out LucidChart or SmartDraw.

As for tools, we use Yed and are quite happy with it. Recently, we also tried Google Draw and draw.io

The GOOP Development Suite has a UML Editor which works pretty well.

You can do class diagrams, sequence diagrams and state diagrams in it.

I have used the class diagram for putting together an architecture diagram showing each module, and its interfaces.

I just started using LucidChart.  I quite like it.
