Hi Christian,

now it works. Thanks for help. I removed all NI software using MSI-Blast and I also removed all directories and registry keys belonging to NI software. After a new installation the system now works again as wanted.

May I ask another question: Do you know if there is a smaller driver just for using the USB-6501? Installing everything from the NI-DAQmx CD works, but nearly 500 MB is a little bit too much if you just want to use the driver. NI always installs drivers for all their hardware.

Hi!

There is no certain driver for a certain DAQ device. If you want to reduce the installation size of the driver, you can disable all the features you don't need in the installation wizzard. Sure, the driver has a lot of overhead and you would not need to install everything, but there is no other way. I also don't know all the libraries you would need exactly to work with your device, because there is no documentation on this available.
