Description
To kick-off National Instruments UK's celebration of the 12 working days of Christmas, we cordially welcome you to the
Virtual Winter Wonderland!
LabVIEWs 3D picture controls provide an intuitive way to create, import and control 3D graphics for realistic presentation of real world objects.
However, this may be the first time they have been used to create an idyllic wintery scene.
Download and extract the attached zip file and open/run ChristmasTree.vi. Then watch in awe as LabVIEW incrementally constructs a festive scene!
Once construction is complete, you can turn off the rotation and put your 3D navigation skills to the test, by manually negotiating the environment.
Bonus: 3 of the presents, which are nested under the tree, contain hidden Easter Egg messages. But be warned; only the truly inquisitive and dexterous will find them!

- Drag = Rotate View
- Ctrl + Drag = Move
- Shift + Drag Up = Zoom In
- Shift Drag Down = Zoom Out
