I am a teacher supervisor of FIRST Robotics team #2809. We are trying to install the Wind River software from the 2009 FIRST season, so that students can learn about the program on last year's robot. However, I am having problems installing the software.
When I install from the DVD, I get to the point where it asks for LAC (which is pre-entered), User Name, Company, etc. When I click Next, I get a message box that says that there is no Internet connection or "could not contact the Wind River server". I definitely have internet connection, but I am wondering if there is a problem with the NI servers, or whether our Board of Education's Proxy is blocking it. What URL/IP address and port is it trying to reach the Wind River server at?
I have tried changing the computer name, which some people have indicated causes problems, but this does not help. I have also tried accessing the license server through a proxy, but that did not work either.
Alternatively, is there a way that I can manually activate the products?
