The only one I couldn't find the code for was mad, but if you want to use the mad face you can enter : smileymad : (without the spaces) and it will show up.

Does anyone else have ideas for how the mad smiley is made?

I am 😄 with your answer. AAMOF I made a number of trials using the :-x syntax (nose figured), of course with no success :(. That was a dumb move since I already used the 🙂 face several times before !

The only annoyance with emoticons is that they appear on some lines intended to express an instrument command.
The commands typically start with a column followed by a letter, such as "o". For instance, : O becomes:
