Maintenance, yes. Expansion, no.

How is the code licensed? I didn't find any agreement in the package. It is important for the community to know under what terms we can modify and distribute it.

The license agreement is in the installer. It is the same license agreement that governs vi.lib.

I didn't see any license agreement in the installer?!?!

Does this mean anybody can take this code, replace to NI-Logo and distribute it as their own version?

You ran setup.vi and *didn't* see a EULA?!

No... in the absence of a permissive EULA, full copyright applies by default. You don't have the rights to distribute it, modify it or anything else but look at it on your own system.

But, seriously... you're not getting the install license?

Seriously. I just ran the installer and there was no license agreement.

Windows 7, LabVIEW 2013.0f2 (32-bit)

Is there a reason that you do not distribute this as a VIP?

Once I install GDS, how do I uninstall it?

Same for me: No license agreement was shown.

You can uninstall it from the tools menu:

Tools -> GOOP -> Product information and Uninstall...

Yes. Many. All of them technical. Huge amount of work to make a VIP from the given source. This is how the Symbio GDS was installed. Took me months to get that working. Moving to VIPM was never really in the cards.

I'll go today and see what I can do to fix the license agreement.

I can step in here and help a bit. I have already looked at the distribution and am working to make it into a package. I will update the community when this is done.
