Hello Everyone,
Recently, I tested USRP 2953R with 802.11 Application framework. I tested both the SMA cable and Over-The-Air(OTA) transmissions in a single USRP. I observed the cabled tranmsission with PN data at source and UDP at sink gave 809 kbps throughput. When the same case is applied for OTA transmission, a throuhput of 12 Mbps is achieved. OTA transmission is slighlty enhanced framework example than the cabled transmission framework example provided by NI. Normally, cabled connections have less noise interference and give maximum throuhghput when compared to antennas. But the throughput result is high for OTA connection. I want to know how these framework examples are different? What are the changes done to the framework in the case of OTA transmission? Please clear my doubt.
Thank you & Best Regards,
Ramya

Hello Ramya,
Thanks for posting to the LabVIEW Communications Forum and joining our community.
What version of LabVIEW Communications are you using?
What are the differences between your two tests?
Do you change the Operation Mode between tests?
What Operation Mode are you using?
How are you connecting your SMA connection?
What options are selected in the Advanced Tab?
Can you please provide screenshots of the Basic and Advanced tabs, while it is running in both cases?
Regards,
