Align terminals between "To More Specific Class" and Property Node

Status: New

With the three nodes aligned to Top, we get that annoying bend in the error wires. The spacing between Refnum and Error wires is one pixel greater on the Property Node than on To More Specific Class.

Thanks crossrulz, those did not come up in my search. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

...There are complications with some of the other nodes mentioned in the comments and will likely not be addressed along with this change. However, the extra nodes have been documented to be addressed in similar ways for a future release.

^ From one of the linked discussions. Hope NI wasn't referring to this idea...

It's not just these, either.  The serial configure is 1px off from the read/write VI's.  Either the error line is straight, or the task line is straight.

And property nodes don't match up with anything but other property nodes.

SnowMule - The Configure Serial Port uses the 5x3x3x5 connector page while the VISA Write and VISA Read use the 4x2x2x4.  That is the reason that one is off.

Same story for some of the TDMS primitives (eg. Open and Read).

And too many other things to count.  I'm not sure they could find all the problematic combinations easily.  Unless they took notice of some type of user feedback mechanism for submission of such issues.  Smiley Happy

I often lie awake at night wondering how the Variant To Data function was "fixed" and yet none of the others were...

If any more functions are considered for special treatment then *please* resist the urge to fix them one at a time! I don't know where I'll be when LV2048 is released. (Retired hopefully!)

I noticed something kind of similar today...

If using a connpane with 5 connectors ont he left and right, the top two will not align with the bottom two if the two connector panes are staggered (one of the connectors will be a pixel off).  Since 32 pixels divided by five doesn't give an integer answer, this seemed obvious after-the-fact, but the initial effect surprised me.....

There are so many LV functions which don't utilise a consistent connector pane alignment.......
