Allow pressing 'n' and 's' for Save/Don't Save at VI close.

Status: New

Allow pressing 'n' and 's' for Save/Don't Save at VI close.

When closing a VI with unsaved changes, and you get the ”save changes before closing” dialog, you cannot use the keyboard and just press 'n' for no or 's' for save like in every other applications. You have to move your mouse and click, which is so much slower and less ergonomic than just pressing 'n'.

Look at any other application, for example Notepad, npp and OpenOffice:

LabVIEW should be more standardized on keyboard control.

This "complaint" goes for many more dialogs (all?) in LabView.  It's just not keyboard friendly.

yes yes yes kudoos!

LabVIEW is already (by nature) loaded with mouse drag-click-move tasks, so I will support simple use of the keyboard whenever possible..

I suggested this about a year and a half ago and got no momentum.  Looks like your title was a bit more convincing.  Kudos!

Didn't see that post. I thought I looked through them all. Hope we get more momentum now. It would be nice if LabVIEW was more keyboard-friendly. Look at other programming IDEs, Like Visual Studio, which have keyboard shortcuts for everything, which is just so much faster to work with. At least we should expect the standard LabVIEW dialogs to have keyboard shortcuts.

This feature has been in LV/Mac for years (at least on the Save dialog) and, although I was somewhat ambivalent about us doing it, I have come to appreciate it very much and miss it when using LV/Win. (Kudos to Marc P. for implementing that on the Mac. Not sure why he didn't do it on Win/Linux). I will kudo the idea here!
