Automatically disable autoscale when the user changes min/max values of a graph

Status: New

When operating graphs it is easy to change the min/max values of an axis by clicking on them, typing in the new value and hitting enter. However, if autoscale is enabled, the newly entered setting will not be applied. So the user first has to manually disable autoscale and then change the scale of the axis. It would be nice to automatically disable autoscale when the user manually enters a new min/max value, thus saving a few clicks.

Thanks.

Funny: I was thinking about the same thing a couple of weeks ago. It should also happen if we e.g. zoom in, for example.

How can we incorporate the reverse operation? Maybe double-clicking the edge marker could switch back to autoscale, or similar. (Of course there is also right-click as well as the graph and scale palettes)

It would be nice to get this one "fixed".

I think this is worth discussing.  Most often when I change the scales, I want them to stay changed until I go back to autoscaling.

However, I sometimes just run the VI again to restore autoscale.

Perhaps this should be an option which can be enebled or disabled.

Sometimes we don't want to allow the user to remove the AutoScale. Should have a way to lock or a three state option: Lock AutoScale On, AutoScale On, AutoScale Off.

Love the idea, but I also strongly agree with Manzolli that there needs to be some way to lock the autoscale to "on".
