Custom Control Repository

Status: Declined
There is an online group (https://decibel.ni.com/content/groups/ui) devoted just to that. Many of the free online control suites are even available through VI Package Manager which will sync them to your version of LabVIEW seamlessly.

Adding Custom Controls to the front panel of your VI can really make it look better. Creating new Custom Controls, however, can consume quite some time. It would really help to have a repository of Custom Controls online from which you could download the ones you need as well as upload Custom Controls you didn't find and had to create yourself.

Thank you very much guys.

Sorry that I posted this, but apparently the online group is not really well known. In my initial forum post I got answers from to NI application engineers who didn't know it existed either.

Having the access to such a repository integrated into the LabVIEW environment, the same way you can search the web from the example finder, would have been nice though.

Another issue is that once you have a large library of controls you would want a betetr way to browse through them, like I've suggested here.Smiley Happy
