After you install it, I would suggest opening the example finder and looking at the different examples under Hardware Input and Output: System Configuration. There isn't one specific to deleting a device, but the Rename Aliases.vi example would be pretty close if you just swap out Rename Alias.vi with Delete Resource.vi. You can find Delet Resource.vi under the Measurement I/O: System Configuration: Utilities Pallette.
